One day, about a month ago in Milan, the trees were full of these crazy flocking black birds. Then they were gone the next day. They were eating something in the trees I suppose, they were like a locust swarm, which reminds me, the collective noun for ladybirds is a 'loveliness'.
There's a similar day in London in the 'Summer' that I like to call 'crazy flying ant day'. The city swarms with winged ants- the pavement is black with them and they fly into your mouth and eyes and nose, it's schifo.
